Stillbirth Foundation Australia's new image

Over the past four and a half years, the Stillbirth Foundation’s little feet have taken some big steps to reduce stillbirth, and until now our little feet logo has ably represented the will of the Stillbirth Foundation. During a recent strategic analysis of the Stillbirth Foundation, it became apparent that we represent not only the little feet of the over 2,000 beloved babies who are stillborn each year in Australia, but most importantly the Stillbirth Foundation’s success and raison d’etre is you… the big feet of our Stillparents, family and friends who bravely survive each day without their baby yet donate to and support the Stillbirth Foundation with a dream to prevent other families from living the tragedy of a life without their child.

The Stillbirth Foundation’s goal remains to break down the barriers that exist in having normalised conversations around all aspects of stillbirth and to significantly reduce the number of stillborn babies every year. We will achieve this through research, awareness and education. Our new brand reflects the collective image of connecting our Stillparents, family, friends and health professionals; ultimately becoming the hub for all issues relating to stillbirth. The Stillbirth Foundation’s guiding principles (bold, professional integrity, recognition, pro-active, stand alone) are represented in the bright colours of our new image and beautifully reflect the positive energy of our Stillparents; who are the strength on which the Stillbirth Foundation has been created.

With heartfelt thanks to you for your continued support of the Stillbirth Foundation Australia.

A Christmas Wish

In 2013, our office has been relocated and our look has changed but thankfully, all of your support has remained a constant. We are incredibly grateful to you for your ongoing attendance at our events and for funding our studies through your kind donations.

In 2014, the Stillbirth Foundation Australia will be funding a study which will aim to develop tests that can predict the risk of stillbirth so that babies can be delivered before they die in the womb.

To support this study, we have started A Christmas Wish campaign with the aid of our friends at Everyday Hero. So far, we’ve raised just over $2,400 but to really kick-start funding of this particular project in 2014, we still need to raise $25,243 to meet our $27,688 goal. Please support this study which has the potential to really make a change to stillbirth figures by clicking here and donating now.

From our little team, have a warm (though it goes without saying!) and safe Christmas, and a Happy New Year.

Happy Christmas & best wishes,
Stillbirth Foundation team.

Calling all Artists!

As part of our rebrand, the Stillbirth Foundation would like to include a number of original artworks on our website and in promotional materials which express the mixture of conflicting emotions experienced by Stillparents both at the time of birth and in the years following this tragedy.

If you would like to create and donate artworks to us, our brief is simply that we would love the artworks to encompass colour and be abstract. They need not be restricted to our new colours but please feel free to contact Michelle if you would like the PMS/HEX codes for these or to discuss this project further. We will of course credit artworks to their creators if they are used on our website. We look forward to hearing from you!

Gift ideas for your loved ones

With Christmas right around the corner, don't forget to check out the Stillbirth Foundation's shop that's full of beautiful gift ideas with all proceeds going directly to your favourite charity.

There's still time to purchase Stella Bears (to be kept or donated to another family), Fairy Tales for Hope prints, and sterling silver Little Feet Charms (with or without chains) to be delivered in time for Christmas.

You can also make a donation in loving memory of a beloved baby and we will happily send a card recognising your donation to that baby's family.

Melbourne StillMum Cha

The Stillbirth Foundation is pleased to unveil that one of our new events in 2014 will be a StillMum Cha to take place in Melbourne.

This will be an informal Yum Cha lunch on May 7, 2014, in Melbourne city, where all of our lovely supporters can get together to enjoy a delicious meal and hear from our wonderful guest speaker, Australian Telstra Business Woman of the Year 2013, Carolyn Cresswell.

We will soon be uploading details of this event including ticket prices on our new website and will update you as the date nears.
