Hi there,

Welcome back and Happy New Year!

The past, they say, does not predict the future, especially in the fast-paced world of technology.

But perhaps we have reached something of a nadir in the relevance of new technologies. Alongside melting ice caps and burning continents, the latest and greatest hoopla that the ICT sector traditionally touts might be seen as hollow.

Just as form follows function, so too should technology follow need.

In 2020, we'll be seeking out the stories that show not just the potential but the purpose of technologies that are making a difference at the coalface in our changing world.

For today, though, we're looking back at the stories that you voted with your clicks as the favourites for 2019.

As 2020 unfolds, keep voting!

Enjoy the read,
