From Eva Yerbabuena to Manuel Liñán and El Farru; Jesús Carmona's Company and Rafaela Carrasco, amongst many. Including a unique, baroque-inspired journey through 17th-century Seville, starring dancer Patricia Guerrero and musician Fahmi Alqhai in dialogue with the museum's current star exhibition on Zurbarán . Califato ¾ make their London debut, fusing raw flamenco power with funk, hip hop, dub and electronic sounds. Travel with them in a journey through Spanish Baroque music of the seventeenth and eighteenth centuries, and its influence across Europe at one of London's most welcoming international churches. ONGOING...Mònica Planes @ GasworksTill 23 Jun | Gasworks | Vauxhall Mònica Planes’ work explores the relationships between bodies, materials, and architectural space. Understanding that sculpture has the capacity to both affect and be affected by its surroundings, in her work, she combines a moving body with fixed material structures. At Gasworks, Mònica will explore how collective performance can generate a sculptural frieze. She will visit Greek and Assyrian friezes at the British Museum to learn how these ancient panels construct visual narratives. Supported by Acción Cultural Española Ángela de la Cruz : UprightTill 06 Sept | IKON Gallery | Birmingham Ikon Gallery presents rarely seen works by acclaimed artist Ángela de la Cruz alongside a new commission developed in collaboration with Birmingham Royal Ballet. Guest curated by Carolina Grau, the exhibition focuses on De la Cruz’s concern with the human body and the realities of everyday survival. Her sculptural paintings – such as Still Life with Table (2000), and Bloated III (Blue) (2012), capture the physical dimensions of De la Cruz’s body and emotional relationships between strength and fragility. In Collaboration @SpainCultureUK Romería by Carla SimónGeneral Release | Curzon + various cinemas | UKA darling of Spanish arthouse cinema, Carla Simón’s third feature is being released in the UK this month. Nominated in six categories at the 2026 Goya Awards, it is the concluding episode of Simón’s semi-autobiographical trio of films. Shot by Hélène Louvart in nostalgic, grainy sun-soaked cinematography, Romería encapsulates the rebelliousness of adolescence, whilst exploring a rarely portrayed theme in Spanish history - the consequences of the youth revolution that followed the period of transition to democracy in Spain.
