CPC Holds Press Conference on the NYS 2024 Session On June 13th, CPC hosted a press conference on the 2024 State legislative session. As the cost of living soars, the FY24-25 budget and the legislative session failed to make deep investments and policy changes that meet the immediate, growing, and long-term needs of AAPI, immigrant, and low-income communities. Despite a severe housing crisis, a home care workforce crisis, rising living costs, and a migration humanitarian crisis, the State took half measures that don't address the root causes of these issues. CPC Statement on New York City FY25 Adopted Budget CPC commends and recognizes the City Council and the Mayoral Administration for all of their efforts in the critical restorations to the social safety net that were cut in the proposed Executive Budget. We will continue our advocacy to ensure that there are more investments in the future that go beyond restorations to ensure that our Asian American and Pacific Islander, immigrant, and low-income communities are living fulfilling lives.
