Copper Strategy Success Workshop: Leading your organisation in an age of disruptive technologiesRESA is proud to present this workshop in conjunction with the Department of the Premier and Cabinet's Copper Strategy. The workshop will unearth some of the potential threats and opportunities businesses face from disruptive technologies and explore case studies of how South Australian businesses have risen to the challenge. Each participant will have the opportunity to develop an action plan and steps to progress their understanding and readiness for the next phase of the Resources Industry growth. Facilitated by Andrew Leunig Leunig Advisory, with presentations from Anthony Kittel REDARC and Mark Rankmore OZ Minerals. $50 per ticket, limited places, a light breakfast, morning tea and a networking lunch will be provided.
$700 million solar, battery storage and pumped hydro project approved for WhyallaSanjeev Gupta, who this year purchased both the Whyalla steelworks through his company Liberty House as well as controlling stake in renewable firm Zen Energy, has approved a plan worth up to $700 million for solar, battery storage and pumped hydro. Zen said the combined projects would provide one gigawatt of "additional dispatchable renewable generation assets" for industrial and commercial use.
Work Experience Placement ProgramIn conjunction with University of Adelaide, and in collaboration with SACOME and AusIMM, RESA is continuing the Work Experience Placement Program. Having already successfully matched 20 mining engineering students to work experience placement opportunities, RESA is would like to engage with suitable businesses to support even undergraduates to complete their industry placements.
