Capitol Technology University: Charging Ahead on a New Admissions Brand

For nearly a decade, Capitol Technology University (Capitol Tech) of Laurel, Maryland had seen great success from the “Feed Your Geek” admissions branding campaign created by TDC that invited undergraduate prospects to embrace their passion for technology. Recently, Capitol Tech had further strengthened the integration of contributions from tech-based professionals and enterprises into its programs and facilities, and turned again to TDC to develop a new admissions brand campaign to reflect this.

We developed the “Charge Up Your Future” campaign to showcase how a wide range of degree programs at CapTech led directly to rapidly growing career opportunities in cybersecurity, engineering, space flight and autonomous systems, robotics, and many other fields. In addition to creating a fresh look-and-feel, we incorporated the brand presentation into a “look book” overview of Capitol Tech’s program divisions, emails and postcards that highlighted individual majors, and a campus tour video. We even created a new mascot symbol—a “charger” stallion that would be the official logo for all of Capitol Tech’s e-sports and tech competition teams.
