Cooking demonstrations from some of the UK’s top chefs, live music from local bands and kids activities are also on the menu.

In other news….

Gleaning Network UK

Earlier in April, another two tonnes of fresh vegetables that were destined to perish were saved from Geoff Philpott’s farm in Kent. Our happy team of gleaners did a fantastic job working their way through a field of cabbages and spring greens and the rescued food was delivered to FareShare to be given to a number of London’s food redsitribution charities.

Gleaning Network UK has salvaged several tonnes of excellent British produce, including apples, cabbages, cauliflowers, spring greens and kale on farms in Kent, Sussex and Lincolnshire and we are planning more gleaning days across the UK.

Get in touch if you would like to get involved and become a modern day gleaner or if you would like to donate to support the project.

That’s all from us now. Until the next one!

Best wishes,

The Feeding the 5000 team
