Semester Two

Welcome to Semester 2.

There's heaps going on during the first week of semester and it's all about settling in, catching up with your mates and having fun before delving in to the serious side of being a student.

Winterlude kicked off with a bang over the weekend and last night we welcomed new students with a few laughs, pizza and a relaxed student-led panel discussion. Thanks to everyone that made it along and remember that help is always out there if you need it - just ask.

Student's design to become city mural

UC Fine Arts student Rachael Dewhirst has created the winning design for the inaugural Resene Art in the Street SCAPE Christchurch Murals project.

Rachael's design was inspired by observing parts of quake-damaged buildings that were previously unexposed, and will be a 33m x 5m mural on the wall of Christchurch’s Design & Arts College’s new site on the corner of Tuam and Colombo streets.

Well done Rachael!
