Highlight: Biomedical Career Development Workshop


The Leadership Alliance is pleased to announce the inaugural SYNERGI (SYnergistic Network to Enhance Research that Grows Innovation) Biomedical Career Development Workshop, Success Through SYNERGI: Taking the Next Step.

This one-day BioMedical Career Development Workshop will provide participating graduate students and advanced degree scholars with guidance for pursuing careers in academia, and the public and private sectors. Attendees will build on their skills by creating an elevator pitch, improving their CV/resume, and expanding their network of colleagues, mentors and role models.

Resources, Tools & Techniques in Biomedical Research
This 4-part training module provides an introduction to key methodologies in modern biology and an overview of Brown University’s shared resource facilities. Visit core facilities that provide services in Biobanking, Microscopy, Structural Biology, Genomics, Bioinformatics, Transgenics, Molecular Pathology, Proteomics, Behavioral Phenotyping, XROMM and Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI).  Learn the basics of how the equipment works, how the technology is used in biomedical research, and how the data can be analyzed. Thursday, June 9/16/23/30, 3-5 PM in Sidney Frank Hall, Room 218 and the Laboratories for Molecular Medicine, Room 106.
