ENDUROFLOOR™ to be released

Header

After almost 2 years of solid work in specifying, testing, prototyping, getting feedback, writing code and developing support literature we will be releasing ENDUROCADD® with the ENDUROFLOOR™ system included. This will incorporate the detailing of floor trusses for balconies, step downs and voids, allow beams to be inserted within the floor cavity, and generating all fabrication and layout sheets.

The other huge change is how walls are built to support floor trusses and beams, and this is where the system gets very smart! Options are available for integrated and independent walls which will either extend studs to attach joists to, or to make a separate dwarf wall into which the floor trusses can be fixed. The latter option will make cassette floors possible. Headers will be built according to the type of wall selected.

This is only a first step with additional features such as design of floor joists well under way, as well as alternative types of floor systems. Watch this space!

There is extensive online support available for ENDUROFLOOR™ which should be read first including software usage guides, design manuals including span chartsan installation manual, and a video of the training session.

We always appreciate feedback on what you like, what you don't like and what you would like to see in the future. Any comments can be added at the ENDUROFRAME® support page.

A full list of changes that have been made since V9.7.9 can be seen in the Readme file on installation. You can get this version by going to Options -> System Checks -> Check for Updates and downloading V9.8.0. It is also available for download using the latest downloader which is available here.

Re-start Points

Header

Is it possible to go back in time?

With the new re-start point feature added to ENDUROCADD® it is now possible to go back to previous points where you have been working on a job.  This allows you to go to the job at a particular point in time or to restart ENDUROCADD® and go to that point. Re-start points can be automatically created at fixed periods of time and the number of re-start points can be set.

Manual re-start points can also be set by the user and notes can be added to the re-start point - a great option if you have multiple versions of a job, or to track changes made to a job.

Click here to find out more information about setting up and using the re-start function.

Here at Enduroframe we have been writing lots of help pages which are being constantly updated. If a question is asked on how to do something by one user, chances are it has been put into the help system. We have the latest release of ENDUROCADD® available for download, all our training videos as well as the latest versions of design and installation manuals.

As an ENDUROCADD® user, you automatically have access to this site. Click here to access.

If you would like to ask a question, suggest a new feature or report a bug, go to the ENDUROFRAME service desk.

For those with ENDURO rollformers, extensive help is available online here. This contains the latest versions of the ENDURO rollformer manuals, troubleshooting hints, maintenance records - in fact everything required to operate and maintain an ENDURO rollformer.

Detailing.........options, options, options!

Header

This release of ENDUROCADD® includes a major re-write of the wall detailing options user interface which is clearer and easier to use. The biggest change is the ability to clearly see which detailing options are being used in a job, and allow the user to save a detailing option as a preferred manufacturing option, or as a third party option used by another company. This makes it easier for a manufacturer to define their preferred wall detailing options and send to third parties to detail jobs for them. Click here for more information on wall detailing options.

Did you know?

Header
  • You can speed up your use of ENDUROCADD® by using the function keys at the top of the keyboard. Go to Help -> Function keys for a list of function keys.
  • You can create walls with raked top plates by extending walls to roof planes. Walls can be made to extend to the roof line, above it or below it. You can find out more here on how to do this here.
  • Ever wonder how much load was being transferred from a truss to a wall frame, or from a wall frame to the ground? This can be checked in the Wall Editor by selecting Calculate Uplift. Both upwards and downwards forces are demonstrated under each truss, and under each stud. This can help to determine the type of tie down brackets that should be used to resist loads.
  • Ever wondered what size header to select above an opening? These are all explained in the Design Manuals and are defined for angle lintels, trussed headers and C purlins. Values for cyclonic wind loads are also available. Something missing? We would love to know - just raise an issue at the ENDUROFRAME® service desk.
  • There is now a csv file of the Material Usage Report which is easy to open in Excel. This is available in the Endurocadd\jobs\order folder.
