The value of ‘things’ has never been more invisible and not just to those of us who shop online, but to our kids who see us using plastic cards to pay for everything, from groceries and petrol, to coffee and cake and everything in between. That’s why, it is more important than ever to teach our kids, while they're still young, about money and its value.
There a few simple ways you can do this while going about your everyday life...
The Bank of us Centre at 108 Collins Street, Hobart was officially opened by the Treasurer, Mr Peter Gutwein on Tuesday, 31 July.
And we celebrated (with cake!), not only the Centre launch, but also what a fantastic first nine months it has been since we became a customer owned bank.
At the event, our CEO Paul Ranson said that what Bank of us offers has struck a chord with Tasmanians.
“We’re a customer-owned bank and that means customer interests are not in conflict with shareholder interests. We are solely customer focused – 100% of profits are used to benefit our customers – to provide a better banking experience, great value products and competitive rates.”
Next time you're in Hobart, take a walk along Collins Street (right next to our branch) to check out our spiffy new Bank of us Centre signage.
Soon you will be able to log in to Internet Banking or our SmartBankingApp to change your PIN.
And the good news doesn't stop there ... if you happen to lose your card or perhaps you've just misplaced it momentarily, you'll soon be able to lock your card through the 'Card Management' option in our Smart Banking App.
