We are very happy to report that CRS’ Partnership and Capacity Strengthening Unit has conducted its second Perfecting Partnership: Theory Meets the Real World, ten-day learning event, in partnership with Villanova University, in Pennsylvania, USA. Perfecting Partnership 2018 was successfully concluded by CRS’ President and CEO, Sean Callahan, who awarded certificates to all 36 participants on Friday, July 20th.

Perfecting Partnership was an intense and interactive praxis experience that strengthened the competence of experienced partnership and capacity strengthening staff practitioners, as well as expanding and enhancing the current vibrant Partnership and Capacity Community of Practice, which is now comprised of more than 60 staff practitioners.

This year’s Perfecting Partnership was uniquely designed to concurrently meet the learning needs of 15 French speaking participants, alongside 21 English speaking participants, while fostering one Partnership and Capacity Strengthening Community of Practice. In total, 26 countries were represented from all seven CRS regions, with a good mix of participants with management, finance and program responsibilities, as well as having diversity in job roles and gender balance.
