Newton Fund PhD Call - Egypt

The Newton Mosharafa PhD Programme supports Egyptian researchers to undertake a PhD at a UK higher education institution.

The programme covers all fees and living/travel expenses and supports both general missions (full degree scholarships 3 years), as well as joint supervisions (for students to do research for a year at a UK university as part of an Egyptian PhD).

Newton-Bhabha Fund

The deadline for the Newton-Bhabha fund has been extended until 2 September 2020.

The Newton-Bhabha Fund is offering the opportunity for UK and Indian PhD scholars to spend a period of their study (up to two to four months) in Indian and UK higher education institutions, to take place between April 2021 and December 2021.

FameLab International 2020 goes online

FameLab International, the science communication competition, is back this year in a new interactive online format this November.

Finalists from 20 countries will take to the virtual stage to deliver their three-minute presentations on a range of topics from the world of science, technology, engineering and mathematics, to battle it out for the title of global winner 2020.

Former FameLab Brazil participant RĂ´mulo Neris has been selected for scholarship funding for his research in the diagnosis and treatment of Covid-19 patients in his home country and beyond.
