It was announced earlier this year that thirteen new masts would be added to the SAORVIEW network. Two of these masts are located in Co. Donegal. Please read the important information below relating to the switchover at these sites and at the current SAORVIEW site at Moville.
Glenties
SAORVIEW will go live from the Glenties transposer on or before 1st October.
For further details please see this notice from RTÉNL: SAORVIEW at Glenties
Clonmany
SAORVIEW will go live from the Clonmany transposer some time between 24th September and 1st October. In order to facilitate the switch on of SAORVIEW, the TG4 Analogue service will cease operating on the same day as SAORVIEW goes live. The other analogue channels will remain on air until 24th October.
For further details please see this notice from RTÉNL: SAORVIEW at Clonmany
Moville
SAORVIEW coverage is currently available in the Moville, Malin, Cross, Glengad and Mossy Glen areas. In order to fully power the SAORVIEW service in these areas, the Analogue service has to be switched off in two steps:
Step 1: TG4 Analogue services will be switched off on 9th October
Step 2: All other Analogue channels will be switched off on 24th October
In order to avoid any loss of service, we recommend that homes in these areas migrate to SAORVIEW or SAORSAT in advance of 9th October.
For further details please see this notice from RTÉNL: SAORVIEW at Moville
