Visit to Cruachan Hydro-Plant &    Whitelee Wind Farm

Onshore Energy Conference in association with CEERISK Consulting Limited are pleased to offer the unique opportunity to visit Cruachan Hydro-Plant and Whitelee Wind Farm, located in West Scotland.

The cost to attend is £295.00. This includes coach travel for 2 days, entrance to both Cruachan and Whitelee, accommodation, breakfast, lunch on both days and dinner.

*In addition to the £295.00 fee to attend, participants are asked to book and pay for their own air travel as detailed in the schedule below*

Cruachan Hydro Plant is a pumped-storage hydroelectric power station, that can provide 440MW of power and has the capacity of 7.1 GWh.

It is one of only 4 pumped storage power stations in the UK and is capable of provided a black start capability to the national grid.

Whitelee Wind Farm is the largest onshore wind farm in the UK, and the second largest in Europe. Whitelee has 215 Siemens and Alstom turbines with a total capacity of 539MW.

Whitelee Wind Farm is the largest source to help reach Scotland's target of making all energy sources renewable by 2020.
