Olympic and Paralympics Games products: UK-manufactured London 2012 products which will be sold around the world are being showcased at BIS, Business Minster Mark Prisk has announced.

Women on Boards: The Government welcomed Lord Davies’ report ‘Women on Boards’ which sets out a series of recommendations to increase the number of women on company boards. FTSE 100 companies should aim for 25% women board members – Lord Davies recommends.

Small Business Act Review: The Government has welcomed the EU review of support for small businesses.

Birth cohort study: A new £33.5 million project will follow 90,000 British children from birth to tell us more about the factors affecting the health and happiness of society, Universities and Science Minister David Willetts has announced.

HE applications: Universities Minister David Willetts has commented on the UCAS application statistics for February 2011.

UUK Conference: Mr Willetts has also given a speech at the UUK Spring Conference where he provided university vice chancellors with the latest developments on higher education reform.
