Crofton House School Remembers

The Crofton House School Remembrance Day ceremony was held on Thursday,  November 7. It was a somber assembly organized by our Student Council. The girls selected poems, images, and readings based on the Remembrance Day theme established by Veterans Canada, "Remembering the Italian Campaign". The Italian Campaign took place during the Second World War from July 1943 to early 1945. More than 93,000 Canadians took part and more than 6,000 lost their lives. Moving performances from the Grade 7 Choir, the Senior Chamber Choir, the Senior School Orchestra, as well as traditional bagpipe and trumpet performed by guests Jay Wollenberg and Jeremy Vint, guided the ceremony.

At the end of the school day, Junior School students trick-or-treated around the school grounds. The following day, the Spanish department celebrated Día de Muertos in the Senior School foyer with food, traditional face painting, and tributes to famous Mexican women. See a photo gallery here!
