Water Conservation Order: Te Waikoropupū SpringsThe hearing to hear submissions for the water conservation order for Te Waikoropupū Springs and associated water bodies will continue for another one and a half days in late May or early June to ensure the Special Tribunal can conclude their hearing. More than 80 individuals were heard by the Special Tribunal which is led by board chair Camilla Owen. Once the Special Tribunal hearing is complete, they will make a decision and provide a report back to the Minister of the Environment with a recommendation. |

EPA approves methyl bromide reassessment bidAn application to decide whether grounds exist for a reassessment of the controversial timber and log fumigant methyl bromide has been approved. The approval was made by an Environmental Protection Authority decision-making committee.
