In the frame
Frost* has been working with the iconic National Gallery of Victoria (NGV) to refresh its brand as celebrations of its 150th anniversary year gear up. The new identity system cleverly creates a framing device that unifies the NGV's communications, while also giving flexibility to promote individual exhibitions. The frame is a natural extension of the NGV's logo, and promotes easier brand recognition as well as prersenting all information clearly. The new branding system is now in use, and its launch will culminate the Gallery's major anniversary celebrations this month.

Modern Italian
The name Manfredi in Australia is synonymous with modern Italian cuisine and we have recently created a website true to the character and legacy of this iconic brand. Drawing on their rich history, the site conveys the Manfredi story with simple elegance and style. With plenty going on behind the scenes, we also made sure that it was easy for the website to stay up-to-date with the latest in Manfredi recipes, Twitter updates and special events. Following the successful launch of their site, we are working with Manfredi on their upcoming new restaurant at Star City.

Sky-high

Qantas recent sponsorship of the 2011 Formula 1™ Qantas Australian Grand Prix presented the opportunity for Frost*
to reach new heights by designing the livery for the exterior of a Boeing 747. Design on such as grand scale requires consideration of how to ensure the solution will have strong impact both on the ground and in the air. The resulting chequered flag added just the right touch of excitement and while complementing Qantas' iconic plane livery. As part of our work on the event we also designed VIP invitations from CEO Alan Joyce. |

Sign of the times |
Our ability to think big comes in many shapes and forms. In this case it involved creating signage that covers seven storeys and reaches more than 26 metres high. The sign is part of an environmental graphics scheme developed by Frost* for 221 London a Canberra building being refurbished by Architectus for the Molonglo Group. The distinctive black and white architectural scheme is complemented by ribbon-like signage that appears to weave through the positive and negative spaces. The scheme addresses external and internal signage, foyer directory and the café, as well as identification, directional, statutory and operational signage. |

Shifting focus |
Some 2,500 real estate agents are expected to descend on this year's Australiasian Real Estate Conference (AREC) in May featuring former New York Mayor Rudy Giuliani as its keynote speaker. A new client to Frost*, the brief was to ramp up the marketing approach by making it more impressive and reflective of the event's heavyweight speakers. The solution came in the line SHIFT HAPPENS and distinctive visual branding comprising pixelated portraits of the speakers, which in turn is about shifting focus. The integrated campaign rolls out across advertising, online, brochures and exhibition livery.

Get Central |
A new 6-storey shopping destination in Sydney's Broadway, Central sets out to be a showcase for global retail trends and food and lifestyle fusion. To capture its vibrant retail vision, our solution was to create an identity that literally pulses with colour. A custom-crafted typeface evokes New York's Broadway lights and the youthful focus for the new mall. Names such as "The Global Grocer" and "Food Empire"were developed to capture retailers' imagination and create mini precincts. The project is the latest instalment in our work with Frasers Property on Central Park, a $2 billion development that will radically change the face of downtown Sydney.
