We had another great week talking about the special families that God gave us and seeing pictures of each other’s families during Show & Tell.  Please remember to help your child bring something to share (using our theme) because it is a proud moment when they get to share…and it is a great skill to work on!  Next week we are asking everyone to bring two things that rhyme in a bag, like sock and block.  It will be fun trying to guess the second thing in the bag!  Thanks for helping your child find the items.  As we focus on rhyming, we will begin a two week unit on Nursery Rhymes.  They are “oldies but goodies” and children learn so much by hearing and reciting them.

• Bible Verse: “For nothing is impossible with God.”  Luke 1:37 
• Bible: Abraham and Lot
• Phonics/Reading: Rhyming
• Math: # 3 and sequencing
• Unit: Nursery Rhymes
• Show and Tell: two things (or pictures of things) that rhyme in a bag (we will try to guess the second thing)

Please remember to send box tops with your child. The class with the most box tops receives a trophy every month!

• September 13th:  Cookie Dough Orders are due.
• September 14th: Donuts with Incredible Dudes at 7:30am in the lunchroom and Signing Day - The football players and cheerleaders will be here to sign for the students at 8:30am.
• September 28th: Grandparent’s Day Program at 8:15am at Cross Church - Early Dismissal - No Extended Care.
• October 4th - Cookie Dough orders delivered.
• October 12th - Homecoming Parties at 2:30pm - More details to come.
