Midlands Regional Drug and Alcohol Task Force Conference Videos

The Midland Regional Drug and Alcohol Task Force (MRDATF) ran its annual Drug and Alcohol Awareness Week from Monday the 10th to Friday the 14th November.

As part of the Awareness Week the Task Force held an Alcohol Conference entitled 'The Impact on Health and Society'.

Family Intervention: The 5-Step Method

North Dublin Community Care There are various interventions aimed at supporting family members attempting to cope with another family member or relative experiencing an addiction issue. One such intervention is the 5-Step Method.

Training in this intervention is now being rolled out by the National Family Support Network in Ireland.

Drugs.ie now contains a video and further information on the 5 Step-Method and details of how services and individuals can get involved.

Update: Let's Talk About Drugs Media Awards 2015

Joy BarlowThe Drugs.ie 'Let's Talk about Drugs' National Youth Media Awards is an annual competition which encourages discussion of drug-related issues by inviting young people to produce a piece of original content relating to drug and/or alcohol use.

To be in with a chance to win the overall prize of €2000 entries must be received by Monday the 16th of February 2015.
