We cannot wait for Grandparents’ Day! Also, we will say our Bible Verse this week and take our Spelling Test on Thursday because of Grandparents’ Day on Friday. We will not have homework on Thursday. Students will not need to bring backpacks on Friday.

Next Week

Bible – We will study Joshua this week and use several passages. Some of them include Numbers chapters 13, 14, and 27 along with Joshua and Deuteronomy 34.
Verse - Joshua 1:9: “Haven’t I commanded you; be strong and courageous? Do not be afraid or discouraged, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.”
Reading – We will be reviewing all of our skills from Unit I in Reading this week. These include comprehension, short and long vowel sounds, sequence of events, compare and contrast, author’s purpose, and story structure.
Spelling-This is also a review unit – here are the words for this week – there will be 15 since it is a review unit - job hug get sad if cake mine spin swim nose use the with at they
Grammar – This is a review unit – we will review complete sentences with capitalization and punctuation, subject and predicate, and nouns.
Math – We will work on comparing numbers, ordering numbers, counting on, and review sequences as well as even/odd numbers. We will have our Chapter 3 Test on Thursday.

September 28th - Grandparents’ Day at 8:15am in the Worship Center with an Early Dismissal following the program. - No Extended Care
October 4th - Pick up fundraiser merchandise after lunch
October 5th - Field trip to Farmland Adventures in Springdale, 8:45-12:30pm - Students need a sack lunch and a water bottle. One parent per child is free, but if you will have to bring a sibling you will need to pay $6. Students will be paid for by Shiloh.
October 10th - Flu Clinic
October 12th - Homecoming Party from 2:30-3:00pm
October 15th - Parent/Teacher Conferences from 7:45-5:30pm - No school for students!
October 30th - Fire Prevention at 8am
October 31st - Picture Retakes
