Merry Christmas
Everyone at Shared Interest would like to wish you a Merry Christmas and thank you all for your fantastic help and support this last year. If you are looking for a New Year’s resolution that will make a lasting difference then why not aim to tell at least one person a week about Shared Interest and how they can either invest or get involved as a volunteer.
New materials
Over the course of the year we have had a number of requests for updated materials for volunteers to use at events.
Many of you will have already seen a copy of our newly designed QR. In addition to this we also have a new enquiry pack, gift pack and a range of new postcard designs. All of our new materials are designed to look clean and fresh and to make Shared Interest look like a valid investment opportunity.
We are trying to move away from using QR as a promotional tool and we encourage you to use the new materials in the following ways:

For those individuals that show an interest but would like to have more time to think things over, we have the small A5 postcards that they can take away. If they decide to proceed, they can fill in their details on the freepost postcard and return it to us for more information.

The enquiry packs have been designed for those people that show a real interest in opening a Share Account. The booklets contain information on Shared Interest as well as details on how to open a Share Account and Ordinary Share Account application form that can be sent back with the accompanying cheque.

We recently launched the Shared Interest Gift Pack to provide the option of opening a Share Account on behalf of ethically minded friends and family. We have produced an A5 leaflet that details how to purchase the packs.

Leaflet dispensers are also available for events.

We encourage anybody attending an event to get in touch with the office to order these new resources to replace any of the older versions that may still be in circulation. We also welcome your feedback about the new resources.
Policy updates
Our volunteer’s policy has been updated in two places. It now includes some very important Emergency Contact procedure information as well as an updated Expenses Policy which now contains information on oyster cards and travel passes.
