Mark your calendars for Little Jigglers on January 30! Also remember, no school on Monday, January 20 in honor of Martin Luther King Jr. day!

Bible - Following Jesus (The Vine and the Branches, Fishers of Men, The Church begins to grow)
Verse - Colossians 3:17, “Whatever you do in word or in deed, do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ.”
Spelling - R controlled words with -er spelling (examples: fern, perch, sister)
Reading & Phonics - Read “The Big Trip”; Reading skill - Author’s Purpose; Practice -ur, -ir, -er Phonic Dances
Grammar & Writing - Review nouns, adjectives & verbs, complete sentences, practice marking sentences; writing a paragraph; ABC Order
Math - Math facts to 9, half-dollar & dollar, combining coins, using a ruler
Social Studies/Science - Animal Habitat; MLK Day

January 20 - No School (MLK Day)
January 24 -100th day of school. Dress up like you are 100 years old; 100 things projects due; special snack
January 30 - Little Jigglers @ 9:15 in the SEC gym at the Springdale campus
February 3 - Spirit dress for $1 towards the teacher compassion fund.
February 14 - Valentine’s Day Parties at 2:30

Please remember to send heavy coats for recess. Also, in class, students need to have a navy sweater, sweatshirt or jacket.
