Helping to enhance the safety of Juno Beach ![]() August 3, 2025 — Volume 8 Number 14 Honoring Heroes: Join Us for the Upcoming September 11 Remembrance Ceremony
Each year, our community comes together to honor the lives lost, the courage shown, and the unbreakable spirit that emerged from the tragedy of September 11, 2001. This solemn tradition continues on Thursday, September 11, 2025, when the Town of Juno Beach and our Police Department hosts its Annual September 11 Remembrance Ceremony at the town's 9/11 Memorial on Ocean Drive. The program begins at 8:30 a.m. and will feature a keynote address from Maureen Casey, retired Deputy Commissioner of the New York City Police Department. Her unique perspective offers a meaningful reflection on service, sacrifice, and resilience. Following the ceremony, all attendees are invited to the Juno Beach Town Center for a light breakfast, generously provided by the Juno Beach Police Foundation. We warmly encourage residents and friends to join us for this important day of remembrance and unity. Annual Interfaith Blue Mass Honors Law Enforcement and First Responders
All active and retired law enforcement officers, first responders, and support staff — along with their families — are invited to the Annual Diocesan Blue Mass on Monday, September 29, 2025, at 8:30 a.m. at the Cathedral of St. Ignatius Loyola in Palm Beach Gardens. Celebrated by The Most Reverend Gerald M. Barbarito, Bishop of Palm Beach, this special liturgy honors the courage, sacrifice, and dedication of those who serve and protect our communities. The date is significant, falling on the Feast of Saints Michael, Gabriel, and Raphael — with St. Michael, the patron saint of police officers and first responders, holding special meaning for this occasion. This Mass is open to law enforcement personnel from across Palm Beach, Martin, St. Lucie, Indian River, and Okeechobee counties, along with their families, friends, and the families of fallen officers. All faiths are welcome. Following the liturgy, attendees are invited to the parish hall for fellowship and refreshments — an opportunity to gather in gratitude and solidarity with colleagues and community members. Law Enforcement personnel are asked to RSVP by September 15, 2025 to Captain Steven Thibodeau at thibodeauS@pbso.org or (561) 687-6815. While not hosted by the Juno Beach Police Foundation, we're proud to share events like the Blue Mass that honor and support the dedicated men and women of law enforcement. Pelican Lake Camera Project
The Pelican Lake security camera project — funded by the Juno Beach Police Foundation — is well underway. The contractor, CCTVAgent, has completed the initial preparations and is now awaiting the final permits to begin installation. Once the permits are issued, work is expected to start quickly, with the goal of completing the project within 30 days, weather permitting. These cameras will enhance safety around Pelican Lake, providing both peace of mind for visitors and valuable support for the Juno Beach Police Department.
