Hope Force International is Seeking a Select Group of Volunteers to Join Us in Nepal!

Announcing 2023 dates for the next trip to Nepal

Immediately following the 2015 earthquake that brought horrific devastation to Nepal, Hope Force deployed an emergency medical response team to Kathmandu and into the surrounding mountain communities.  We were introduced to a local organization, Apple of God’s Eyes (AOGE), via our partner, Crossroads Church.  We quickly discovered what an incredible ministry they provide to children who have been rescued from trafficking.  In no time, we recognized that this was a "divine appointment”, and it has led to a multiple-year partnership of compassion and hope.  It is an amazing experience to be surrounded by such a living witness to the redemptive, restorative love of God to these precious ones who have escaped unimaginable despair.  The light of their hope within shines brightly — resulting in a life-changing experience for all involved.

Hope Force International & The Apple of God's Eyes

Hope Force has deployed teams to Nepal and AOGE for seven years — working side-by-side in an effort to rebuild that which was lost.  Construction teams work hand-in-hand with our partner — rebuilding facilities lost to AOGE during the quake, and other projects. Medical teams provide care to people living in the surrounding rural areas as well as in Kathmandu – thus serving as “goodwill” ambassadors on behalf of AOGE.

The next Hope Force trip to Nepal will be: February 18 – March 4, 2023

An invitation is being made to Hope Force Reservists AND other interested Jesus-followers. Space for this team is limited, so if you are interested, please respond as quickly as possible. We are seeking those with construction and medical skills, as well as people who can work hard in support of those with skills. We need those who have all aspects of construction skills… as well as doctors, nurses and other healthcare professionals; people willing to serve as needed in what can be challenging conditions.  This would include experiencing high altitude scenarios, “roughing it” type conditions, strenuous travel demands, etc.

What We Will Be Doing in Nepal:

The construction team will concentrate on building projects selected by AOGE. Past teams have built very modest homes for staff, dormitory buildings for "The Farm”, classrooms and a church. (More info/details to follow)

The 2015 earthquake threatened an already vulnerable population in Nepal. People living in mountain and rural villages were cut off from immediate medical attention after the quake hit. These areas historically suffer the effects of inadequate care and isolation. As Hope Force International returns again in 2021, the medical team will work in collaboration with AOGE to provide relief to this underserved population – as well as those in surrounding Kathmandu. These acts of kindness enhance the name of Jesus and of AOGE in this largely Hindu / Buddhist nation.

Let's Go!

We expect this team to fill quickly! If you’re interested in participating, please respond by September 1st. For more information on how you can be a part of the 2020 Nepal team, please contact Alan Sowell by email at alan.sowell@hopeforce.org or call 615.371.1271
