Hats off to Award winnersCongratulations to the inspirational winners, finalists and nominees in the 2017 Queensland Mental Health Week Achievement Awards, a major event held each year during QMHW. Now in its fifth year, the Achievement Awards provide the opportunity for individuals and organisations to be recognised and celebrated for their dedication to mental health. Nominate now Head to HealthA new mental health website Head to Health was launched by the Commonwealth in Mental Health Week this year. The site directs users to free online resources with solid information and advice, apps and programs, online forums and phone, email and chat services, including immediate support services. It also hosts guides for people on helping someone else. Topics covered include: · Meaningful life · Mental health difficulties · Supporting yourself · Supporting someone else · Service providers. Keep valuing mental healthOur 2017 100waysin100days messages are now in poster form, adding to our suite of QMHW posters. Download and display them in your school, office, community centre or staff room to keep valuing mental health for another 100+++ days. Or follow the lead of Townsville Logistics, which turned the 100 messages into lunchroom coasters for their staff.
