Here at the Kitchen Table Project, we recognise that as influential as each one is in nurturing faith, there is nothing more powerful than prayer. So our question this month is … How can we help parents to make prayer an important part of their family life? Whether that is praying for or with their children, we all want to make prayer as attractive to families as possible – so that it’s a natural part of directing their day to day life, rather than something they only turn to when they are in need. As Corrie ten Boom put it, it’s their ‘steering wheel’ rather than their ‘spare tyre’. To do this we need access to inspiring ideas, creative solutions and a variety of resources to engage with every personality in the family – that can seem like a tall order! As leaders, we sometimes feel pressure to have all the answers, but often leadership is about getting our hands on great content and releasing it to those around us. ![]() “And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests.
