What's happening at Scraptherapy

Scraptherapy and Tim join forces.

Well let's face it, every papercraft store in the world surely is selling his products, and that means Tim has teamed up with us all.  He is a great sport and a bundle of fun and was sweet enough to do this photo for one of our DT girls Karen, who was one of the very lucky ones to get a class with Tim when he was out here in Australia recently.

Karen is full to the brim with wonderful new inspiration, techniques and ideas from her time with Tim.  Make sure you keep an eye on what she is up to in the forum at the moment.  She has a fun little giveaway for the forum girls this weekend that you can all find here.  If you have not joined in the fun and challenges over in the forum yet, or have joined up however not said hello and chatted with us, then this may just be the weekend to do it.  You can register here.

We carry a load of Tim Hotlz Products - he brands for some great companies including Ranger, Sizzix, Stampers Anonymous, and Ideaology  to name a few.  His name sells and that is because he only puts it on great products.  We thought we should let you know of two of those products that are proving hard to get and now we have them they are selling fast.  1st his new Markers, I am in love with these markers.  Secondly this great Word Play Alpha Die from Sizzix - opps - one of those in the crop room now too.  How this differs to his other alpha dies is this one will cut chipboard as it is one of the Sizzix Bigz Dies.  Love it!

There is however a small problem with Tim's stuff, and that is keeping it on the shelves, so if ever there is something particular you are chasing and can't get, whether it is Tim Hotlz or something else entirely, remember we order stock every week from our wholesalers and Manufacturers and we can always get it in for you - please do not hesitate to ask.  Drop us a line.

A new challenge, a new bigger and better prize

While our forum challenges are not going anywhere, they have changed slightly, they are now "Just for Fun" challenges and are there to give you some motivation and keep your ideas rolling.

But we have something new - our Sketch Challenge has now gone to our blog.  Check it out and give it a go - there is a $50 Scraptherapy voucher up for grabs each and every month.

CHA time again, time to make some space

And we are curious always to know what you girls want - there is so much new stock on the horizon that we could bring in for you but we would love some e-mails and some feedback from you all as to what you would like to see in the store.  Feel free to drop us a line and let us know, pop up some links on our facebook page, post some comments on our blog or join in the chatter in our forum - and if you feel like it you are always welcome to pick up the phone and give us a call - there are so many ways you can be heard by us.

In the meantime we have to make some way, and one of the things we have a LOT of when we look around is papers, so we have gone thru and dropped the price on a bundle and now have a under $1 paper section with over 500 different papers.  Great time to restock your stash!

Kits are back at Scraptherapy

It has been a while however after a bundle of requests the DT are now doing kits with instructions again - there will be regular kits added to the kits section of the shop, these of course will be limited, and will come with a link for full instructions on making the project in the kit.  You can find the first two kits up for grabs this month here

a big shout of for my mum - very proud of you ma

Mum was our kids' Family Day-Care Mum many years ago now when our kids were little and she has been a wonderful Day-Care Mum to a lot of children since those days - in fact she has been running her day-care service for almost 18 years now.  I come from a long line or wonderful self-employed woman who have set great examples for me - my Grandma owned a little haberdashery shop in Cottontree and had a fantastic little business, so close to what we now have here in Babinda, and Tara has followed in my Mum's footsteps and joined the Family Day-Care service as a carer/educator as well.  Self employment can be very fullfulling but you have no boss to pat you on the back and say well done.

Well this weekend coming, Family Day Care Australia will be presenting my Mum with an award for their Queensland Educator of the Year and we are running away for the weekend to attend the Gala Dinner and Presentation night.  We will be away from the 21st - 24th July of course taking some time to visit with our beautiful Grandson (and the rest of the family) while we are there.  If your orders are a little slower than normal that week then our apologies in advance.

And to every single one of you out there who are working in the child care industry, you all do a fabulous job!  Keep it up.
