23 October - Promote and Maintain Motivation

Here we will explore a brief background into what “Motivational Interviewing” is, how it can be adapted to our work, and a simple and easy to use guide on how to provide “Brief Motivational Interviewing”.


This is a technique that empowers an individual to move towards a goal of their choosing, and not to be coerced externally, based solely on their own values and concerns whilst keeping the individual in complete control of the conversation.

30 October - Supporting Inclusion in the Workplace

This workshop aims to explore the nuances of supporting a person to maintain employment, and to thrive in their workplace. We will not be focussing on the skills people need to perform their work, but the skills people need to be successful in the workplace.  Investing in positive relationships with others is likely to be just as, or more valuable to individuals as their ability to perform work duties.

4 December - Professional Boundaries for Human Services Workers

This is a workshop that explores the ways we define professional boundaries in our work through a discussion based learning experience, with some handy hints, ideas to challenge our ways of thinking, and a chance to be open with our questions regarding boundaries.
