The RHS judging team visited Altrincham and were impressed by the town and the ‘Best in Show’ entries. RHS Judge, Frances Fenwick, commented: “We were very impressed with the variety of displays, the great effort made by the shops and businesses with designs showing very creative use of plant and flower material”.
Gran T’s Coffee House was named winner by RHS Judges with Phanthong Thai also receiving a Distinction. The ‘People’s Choice’ competition on Altrincham Today was also won by Gran T's, with runners up House Restaurant and Bar, and Vintage Angel. The ‘Best in Show’ achieved fantastic engagement on social media:
Christopher Taylor, Gran T's Coffee House explained, “From a business point of view it’s an amazing opportunity to scream and shout about your creativity and get your business noticed. Now that I’ve seen the visual impact it has made along with the attention and press it has given the business, it was 100% worthwhile and passers-by took more notice of our business, even if just to take a selfie!” Altrincham Unlimited would like to encourage as many businesses as possible to sign up early for next year's 'Best in Show' so please do get in touch if you're interested by emailing: abigail.richardson@altrinchamunlimited.co.uk
