Information about this email communication

Do I need to read this? There are important actions for GP practices participating in Quality Services during the 2013/14 financial period.
Why should I read this? To provide you with information on manually entering data for Enhanced Services and what you will need to do to participate in QOF and other Quality Services.
When do I need to do this? Dates and actions for each service are contained within the communication below in the appropriate sections.

For all other stakeholders this email is for information only

Data entry for Enhanced Services

At present, GP practices have been asked to manually enter data into CQRS for the following Quality Services:

  • Learning Disabilities Health Check Scheme
  • Rotavirus (Routine Childhood Immunisation)
  • Measles Mumps and Rubella (MMR) Catch Up

In addition to these Enhanced Services the following have been made available for participating GP practices on CQRS:

  • Childhood Seasonal Influenza Vaccination Programme
  • Routine Pneumococcal
  • Routine Shingles
  • Shingles Catch up (aged 79)

GP practices will need to manually enter data on CQRS for all the services above in order for payments to be calculated via CQRS for the remainder of the 2013/14 financial year. Area Teams will communicate payment timescales in due course.

We sincerely apologise for any inconvenience the continued need for manual data entry may cause to GP practices.  This decision has been made to provide more time to successfully deliver the QOF 2013/14 extractions.
To help support GP practices, CQRS has provided additional guides available on the CQRS website on how to manually enter data. We will also increase the CQRS service desk provision to help with any queries practices may have.

CQRS will communicate guidance for other Enhanced Services as they become available.

Details on these Quality Services, including Read codes and payment arrangements can be found within the following documents on the NHS Employers website.

Data for QOF 13/14

GP practices will not need to manually enter data for QOF 2013/14, CQRS and GPES will support this process. The data for QOF 13/14 is expected to be visible to all practices and Area Teams by early next year.

Participation in QOF on CQRS will begin in conjunction with the GPES full roll out.  Practices will receive guidance on what they need to do via email communications from GPES and CQRS.
GP practices that have already agreed to participate in QOF and informed their Area Teams will not be required to do anything further.
