The conference season has just begun, and there are plenty of events and professional learning opportunities ahead. We have provided a list below of some of the events happening around the country. If you see us, be sure to drop by and say hello. Conferences are a great way to get an intensive hit of current thinking, find inspiration, and mingle with like-minded colleagues. However, most professional learning is self-directed by teachers or in professional learning networks, within schools and school networks. ESA provides a wide range of resources to support your professional learning, from monthly digital technologies webinars to regular newsletters, and a plethora of resources, activities and online tools. They're free and available whenever and wherever you need them. Student Wellbeing Hub professional learning modulesThe self-paced professional learning modules offered by the Student Wellbeing Hub provide an in-depth introduction to important topics for educators. Current topics include: the National Safe Schools Framework, online safety, and alcohol and other drugs. Aligned to the National Safe Schools Framework, these professional learning modules build understanding of issues relating to student safety, provide reflection opportunities, include resource suggestions, and offer suggestions for working with parents. Educators need to register in order to access the modules, and once each module is completed a certificate will be issued. Each module has an accompanying podcast series where experts in the field talk about key aspects of the topic being explored. Digital Technologies Hub webinarsThe Digital Technologies curriculum can be confusing and a little overwhelming for many educators. To help, the Digital Technologies Hub team has been hosting webinars every month this year, covering a range of topics in order to get you started in implementing this curriculum in your program. All of these webinars are available to view on the webinars page of the Digital Technologies Hub website. myfuture — Work Integrated LearningWork integrated learning is a great way for students to test their skills and understand more about the workforce. Students who are undertaking work experience placements in term 3 may enjoy reading some of the articles on the work integrated learning feature page of the myfuture website.
