We say goodbye to the Brazilian students!

The Brazilian students who left us in February and July this year will be sorely missed by everybody at the ELC. They brought their unique culture to the ELC and at all times they were extremely motivated and hard-working. All the other students and teachers appreciated the positive atmosphere they brought to the classroom.

They have left the ELC to continue their Study Abroad program at Macquarie University in the Faculty of Science for 1 or 2 Sessions. The ELC hopes to receive more students from Brazil through the Science without Borders program in the future.

We say goodbye to the Brazilian students!

Where are they now?

Mahmudul Haque
Before starting my Master of Commerce specialization in Finance in Macquarie University I completed ten weeks of University Entry English Preparation Programs at ELC. I never thought that ten weeks would be one of the best experiences in my life. On my first day at ELC I was greeted with warm reception, comfortable surrounding and a welcoming environment for studies.

I remember the teachers who were always there to help me; they were always enthusiastic to provide all the information about Australian culture, history and all the things that were going around us.

I gained a number of transferable skills that would definitely help me in the future. The University Entry English Preparation Programs covered the missing gaps and linked the different topics together, guiding me through a very interesting and enjoyable experience, from which I have acquired a lot of learning that would help me in my future endeavors.

Another great aspect that I have enjoyed at ELC is the cultural diversity in my class was as we learnt from each other's languages and cultures. I made a number of friends of diverse socio-cultural background and I’m still in contact with them.

My experience at ELC was unique and beneficial to me. I still tell my friends and colleagues about it. The knowledge I gained there was both theoretical and practical, transmitted by teachers who are expert in their fields, who did their very best to prepare me in dealing with the real professional world.
