Shelter. 100 x 100 cm

Scottish artist Pam Carter is instantly recognisable for her sweeping coastal landscapes and tight settings of rusty roofed Hebridean bothies, all in those pastel shades that island sunlight brings out.

Glasgow Boys. 100 x 100 cm

But there is another side to her work that traces back to the beginnings of her artistic career - a recurring fascination with the tenement buildings and streetscape of her home city.

West End Lights. 80 x 80 cm

More than twenty years have passed since Pam last focussed on urban life.  In that time, the city has changed and so has Pam's approach to painting.

Urban Vista. 80 x 80 cm

Her work for this exhibition recounts a fresh visit to tenement land, now coloured with optimism and nostalgia.

Shore to the Small Isles. 80 x 80 cm

As counterpoint to the urban, Pam includes her favourite island locations.

The Keeper of the Byre. 60 x 60 cm

Island to Urban is a unique opportunity to view both aspects of Pam Carter's superb artistic work.
