Live Webinar: Inside Exxon

Monday, June 6 | noon EDT | 17:00 GMT

Some four decades ago, Exxon was at the forefront of knowledge about climate change – and the impact the fossil fuel industry had on it. In the award-winning series “Exxon: The Road Not Taken,” InsideClimate News documented Exxon’s emerging awareness of climate science in the mid-1970s, its rigorous research into carbon dioxide’s impact on the atmosphere and its decision by the late 1980s to thwart action on global warming by funding a network of think tanks and researchers to sow doubt about climate science.

NPF will host Neela Banerjee of InsideClimate News, one of the primary reporters on the project, which was a finalist for the Pulitzer Prize and winner of NPF’s Thomas L. Stokes Award for Best Energy Writing.
