Feeling energetic and good about yourself are just a couple of benefits to eating well and exercising on a regular basis. Other benefits include a reduced risk of developing chronic diseases like type 2 diabetes, heart disease and cancer.
Lara Croydon, a Murri circus performer who appears in Learning to Love Gravity, says eating good food and maintaining fitness means she can perform at her best.
She understands however making major lifestyle changes can take a bit of time and setbacks can happen.
“It’s a big thing to do an immediate diet change," she says.
"One week, rather than putting a bag of chips in your trolley, you chuck in some potatoes and just do small little changes that aren’t that big or terrifying.
“You’d be surprised how much those little things start to change," Lara explains.
