As the temperatures get cooler, please be sure to send a coat with your child - and label them!    

• Bible:  Achan Tries to Hide His Sin

• Reading: We will continue our reading skill, Character, and the book, The War That Saved My Life.
• Spelling:  Sounds for c and g - brace, cancel, cent, cinch, city, pencil, cringe, scrunge, crutch, craft, convince, concept, congest, cage, gem, gentle, huge, agent, glide, globe
• Language: Chapter 4 - analogies and study guide; Quiz Tuesday, October 9; Chapter 4 Test Tuesday, October 16
• Math: Chapter 4 - Geometry: rays, angles, measuring and drawing angles, triangles; speed drill on Wednesday, October 10 (dividing by 5)
• Science: Finish chapter 6, chapter 6 test Friday, October 12th
• Social Studies: Continue Chapter 14 on WWII; the home front and D-Day

Last call for Shiloh alumni! We are hosting our first VIP Alumni Tailgate on Friday, October 12th from 5-7pm before the Football Homecoming Game.  Come and enjoy great food, family entertainment, free admission to the game and an alumni t-shirt! Please spread the word and make sure you register at www.shilohsaints.org/resources/alumni as soon as possible!

• October 12 -  Homecoming Parties @ 2:00, Pep Rally @ 2:45, Homecoming Parade along the north sidewalk @3:15 - We will be late to carlines.
• October 15 - Parent/Teacher Conferences - students will not have school on this day.  All 5th-grade teachers will be in the library.  You will sign up for a time with your child’s homeroom teacher, but the other teachers will be available if you need to touch base with them. Conferences will be approximately 20-25 minutes.  Sign-ups were sent out this week. 
• October 22 - Flu Clinic - More information to come.
• October 23 - Junior Carnival from 5-7pm
• October 24 - 5th-grade meeting in the Music Room at 2:30 for Puberty Class and Overnight Science Trip
• October 31 - Picture Retakes
