The Championships 2018

Wimbledon is upon us - TIA UK wishes everyone involved in tennis including players, spectators, a great Championships.

Some fast facts on Wimbledon

Each Championship, the AELTC commission an official Equipment Census of equipment, apparel and shoes used by all players at the tournament including all singles, doubles, wheelchair, boys, girls and veterans. This is the only tournament in the calendar year where this is completed officially in full.

Tim Henman and Alfie Hewett join HSBC/DMTT Wheelchair Clinic

Dan Maskell Tennis Trust was chosen by the Wimbledon Foundation as one of its beneficiaries from the resale of tickets during The Championships, to take part in a clinic run by HSBC to highlight their involvement in match funding the ticket resales.

Putting £s back into tennis

Control Costs is the latest preferred business supplier to be appointed by the TIA UK and will work with TIA UK member businesses to boost their profitability and bottom line performance.

Control Costs is an independent operational expenses consultancy, specialising in saving businesses money and operates under the banner ‘working on behalf of hard-pressed business owners’.

Tennis Industry and LTA working together

The Tennis Industry Association (TIA UK) and the Lawn Tennis Association (LTA), are working closely together to maximise the tennis industry’s involvement, in the LTA’s ‘Transforming British Tennis Together’ (TBTT) initiative. The collaboration is focused on identifying opportunities for the industry to support TBTT projects that aim to increase participation.

New Members Join the TIA UK Tennis Family

Sports Facility Planning and Design Limited, a consultancy headed up by Lee West and new companies Solent Contracting Ltd and Thirty30 (T30) recently joined the TIA UK and perfectly demonstrate the diversity in the membership of the trade association.

Tennis Charity Day - opportunity to play at The Queen's Club

Thursday 19th July - in aid of the Dan Maskell Tennis Trust and Friends of Israel Sport Centre for the Disabled. Still time to enter to play - closing date 10th July.
