Currencies in Turkey, Indonesia and Argentina have experienced huge drops in recent months. Some fear a repeat of the 1997 Asian financial crisis when contagion spread. But, though a number of emerging markets are struggling, this doesn’t mean they are totally related. Alain Naef explains.
It’s just five months since Abiy Ahmed took over as Ethiopian Prime Minister and set off a dramatic series of events that have changed the political landscape and offer the hope of bringing an end to hostilities across the troubled Horn of Africa.
