We hope your families have a wonderful Thanksgiving Break! We all have so much to be thankful for! Please keep this newsletter for the week after Thanksgiving.
Academics
Bible - We will continue to work on Elijah, using I Kings 18:1-45.
Memory Verse - 2 Corinthians 3:12, “Therefore, having such a hope, we use great boldness.”
Reading - We will read a story called “Schools Around the World.” Our target skill will be Main Idea and Details.
Spelling - We will continue with the Bossy R word patterns. This week we will focus on words with ar and or. These sounds are R-controlled sounds.

Grammar - We will work on using irregular verbs correctly. Some of the irregular verbs we will be working with are: have has had do does did
Math - We will continue working on thermometer readings, 3-digit addition with carrying in tens/hundreds’ place, addition and subtraction facts to 15, and elapsed time.
Homework
Monday: Sumdog 15-20 minutes
Tuesday: Read Schools Around the World
Thursday: Study
Important Dates
November 21-25 - Thanksgiving Break - NO SCHOOL
November 29- 2nd grade students will wear their field trip shirts. We will go to the main campus to practice with the other 2nd Grade students.
December 1 - 2nd grade students need to be dropped off 7:00-7:20 at the bus at Shiloh PH or dropped off at the Springdale campus by 8:00. All School Christmas Chapel 9:15 a.m. & 6:30 p.m. Second Graders will be singing and need to be in their Sunday best.
December 2 -$8 and chore list due for Christmas Present
December 9 - PJ day just for fun!
December 16 - Christmas and Pizza Party at 12:00- Don’t order food this day. Early dismissal at 1:00, no extended care
