NWT Tourism Coronavirus Update - visitor/guest information and resources for business support
Dear valued members,
We have an update today that we hope you will find helpful. The first thing is handouts for you to share with guests who may be visiting the Northwest Territories at this time. They are currently available in English, but we have provided translations to the GNWT with the help of our General Sales Agents today and those will be available shortly in Korean, Japanese and Chinese languages.. The handouts are as follows:
When the GNWT makes the translated versions available, we will send them to you in a separate email as quickly as we can.
Secondly, we want to share with you an important link for resources for you to access for assistance for your business. This aggregation of resources comes from Destination Canada. Please do take a look at these links as there are various resources for all levels of business https://www.destinationcanada.com/en/coronavirus-updates#industrysupport
Today the Prime Minister announced that in the next few days he will be providing more detailed information about plans to assist businesses affected by the measures implemented to control the spread of the virus in our communities. We urge you to stay up to date on all communications from the Prime Minister.
We also encourage you to subscribe to Destination Canada News as they will be providing industry updates during this chaotic period. Destination Canada will be providing a webinar for the tourism sector at all levels later this week, and signing up for the newsletter will ensure that you the information on when this webinar will occur.
Stay well as we all continue to look after each other,
Cathie Bolstad
