Mahatma Ghandi implored people to ‘be the change you seek’. At the Parents and Friends Association (PFA) Annual General Meeting on Tuesday these were the only words I could find to capture the philosophy and approach of Tess Brooks, departing President, during her two years of community building in her key role.

Following a lengthy and extensive search, I am delighted to announce that Aaron Loats will be the new Head of Junior School at Kingswood College and will commence on Monday 19 August 2013.

Forget watching MasterChef, all school-aged children will be busy participating in ScholarChef - an innovative and engaging new scholarship program for students who love to cook.

The College Production Return to the Forbidden Planet runs from Thursday 20 June - Saturday 22 June. Return to the Forbidden Planet tells the story of Captain Tempest and his fearless crew on their journey into hyperspace...and beyond!

Part of the annual Year 9 City Cite experience is a visit to a workplace.  These are short visits (up to 90 minutes) by three   six students to a workplace in almost any industry.

Last week I was fortunate to visit the students in Year 4 to 6 on their camp at Arrabri Lodge in East Warburton. The weather was clear and sunny albeit a little cold. The students were busy orienteering when I arrived and after morning tea I accepted an invitation from them to go on the giant swing.

As part of the International Baccalaureate Primary Years Programme you will begin to hear new terminology but many of the concepts will be familiar.

Stop! Please don’t throw out your old yellow and blue sport uniforms- they can go to a good home!

Last week all students in Years 4, 5 and 6 spent 3 days at Camp Arrabri in Warburton

The Kingswood College Junior School Cross Country Team participated in a very good manner on Monday 27 May 2013. at Ruffey Lake Park in Doncaster.

On Tuesday 28 May 2013 the Annual General Meeting took place.  Our sincere thanks is extended to all who nominated and attended the meeting.
