A new endoscopy center opening in west Omaha offers patients convenient access to important colon cancer screening. The Village Pointe Endoscopy Center, run by The Nebraska Medical Center and UNMC Physicians, is now taking appointments for routine colonoscopies. The screening, which can help detect colon cancer in its earliest stages, is recommended every 10 years beginning at age 50 for healthy men and women.
