Research Update

 

Good afternoon,

Linked below is the Import-Export Report for December 2019.

Here are a few key findings:

  • Imports were down overall 12.7% for December 2019 versus December 2018, but up 1.8% for calendar year 2019.
  • Imports from Mexico saw a 22.0% drop during December 2019, but remain up 2.9% for 2019 as a whole.
  • The Netherlands experienced a 0.6% drop in beer imports during the last month of 2019, and were down 5.3% for the whole year.
  • Imports from Italy increased 23.3% in December 2019 and saw an overall 47.8% increase in 2019.
  • Non-alcoholic beer imports in December were up 61.9% with a 78.4% overall increase for the full year.

Please note that the numbers reflect updated information published by the Department of Commerce for 2017-2019.
