NEW Recruitment VideoHelp us spread the word to your friends and family by sharing this video on your social media sites. Staff Spotlight: Brin Schaechtel Brin has been working at St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital as an administrative specialist with Volunteer Services since 2009. She was raised in Pocahontas, Arkansas, but has now lived in Memphis longer than she lived in her home town. Brin says, "Naps are a priority, so I guess that's my hobby."Brin loves all animals, she has a fish, a dog and three cats. "Mr. Fish is a blue Beta that is very handsome, but rather boring," Brin says. Ellie is an 11-year-old brown mixed-breed dog who barks. I adopted her when she was about 3 months old, and both of her front legs were broken. She has been extremely healthy since then, but did have back surgery in February for a ruptured disc. She is doing great now. Cousin Eddie is an orange tabby. He is as goofy as the character he’s semi-named for from National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation. He has some weight issues but is doing pretty good on his diet and is down to 22 pounds. There is a black cat named Luke that belongs to my mom. He showed up with Ed on Mom’s doorstep a few years ago. I don’t have much to share about Luke because he only likes my mom and the other critters. The newest edition is Mildred Fierce (Millie for short). She is named for the character in a Carol Burnett parody of Mildred Pierce. She is a 5-months-old Siamese-beautiful and fierce." Brin says St. Jude is a great place to work and her team (Volunteer Services and volunteers) are the best of the best without a doubt! © Copyright 2017.
