In this issue, ESA provides a range of online resources for use at school or at home, to support the education community to sustain learning and wellbeing at this time.

Resources are quality assured, freely available and aligned to the Australian Curriculum and the Australian Student Wellbeing Framework. We also have resources tailored to support and promote wellbeing for children and young people and to help all members of our education community to keep safe, resilient and well in this time of crisis.

DTH | Unpack the Digital Technologies curriculum during COVID-19

Need inspiration for resources to support online learning? The Digital Technologies Hub resources search page is a great place for everyone to find resources linked to the Australian Curriculum, to explore strategies, to get advice from Australian primary and secondary schools and more.

 
Digital Technologies resources

Teachers working with the Australian Digital Technologies curriculum can use and adapt the Scope and Sequence (F–10) – Learning programs to support implementation to create sequenced learning programs that are organised by year level and topic of interest.

Parents can find digital technologies activities to engage the family at home. Activities require minimal preparation and include all the knowledge needed to complete tasks.

SWH | Supporting wellbeing during difficult times

The Student Wellbeing Hub is a space for educators, parents and carers and students to find resources and support that promote wellbeing and learning within the education community.

Specific COVID-19 wellbeing resources have also been created to support learning communities during the COVID-19 crisis and beyond.

 
 

The school recovery toolkit is a popular resource for members of the school community and provides information regarding the impact of trauma in the classroom and how to support recovery.

SCIS | Free online short course: Managing your library collection and catalogue

The Schools Catalogue Information Service (SCIS) has created a free online short course for new school library staff (and for those who would like a refresher). Focusing on collection curation and cataloguing, we will help you get started in organising the resource offerings of your library.

ELLA | Delivering a fun new way to learn languages

The GiST | Fun activities to do at home

If you’re currently home-schooling, The Girls in STEM Toolkit (The GiST) offers plenty of fun DIY activities that can be done from home to encourage girls to become more interested in STEM. A vast array of activities that can be undertaken using household items, offering the chance for students to be creative and reduce their onscreen time.

Find a host of early childhood resources to support those of you working with and raising young children. The activities address the significant challenges we have all faced in recent months.

The Language Learning Space (LLS) provides resources for teachers and students of Chinese, Indonesian and Japanese, as well as professional learning topics for language teachers.
