Dr.Michael Mills

Multimed Inc. is pleased to announce the appointment of Dr. Michael Mills as Editor in Chief of the Journal of Applied Clinical Medical Physics (JACMP). Dr. Mills will be taking over as Editor in Chief in 2013 after holding the position from 2004-2007. Dr. Mills was instrumental in leading the JACMP into the field of open access publishing. His foresight cleared the path for the JACMP, as it quickly gained a reputation as one of the world's leading physics journal.

In 2003, it was Dr. Mills' 'cold call' request to Multimed Inc. asking that we consider bidding on the publishing responsibility for the JACMP, that we began utilizing Open Journal Systems (OJS). Venturing into a relatively new field of open access publishing for a traditional publisher, can only be made easier with the assistance of a brilliant visionary, such as Dr. Michael Mills.

As President of Multimed Inc., I am personally indebted to Dr. Mills for his extraordinary support, friendship, and his uncompromised integrity to ensuring that JACMP continues to lead the way in Open Access journals.

The JACMP was the first journal using OJS to install the online banner advertising system. They have also recently enabled automated review reminders and one-click reviewer access to streamline their review process. Google Analytics has been installed to monitor website traffic. Visit the JACMP at www.jacmp.org.

Snowmageddon 2010:

It was one of the worst storms the city had seen in 157 years! On December 7th, 2010, 100cm (3.3ft) of snow buried London, Ontario, just 140kms (87 Miles) west from our office. And yes, that is a car buried under there!

Here’s hoping that we have less snow this winter!
