Kindergarten eNews

Thank you for helping out with show and tell this week as we learn about tools a farmer uses. We all enjoy teaching this farm unit. It is fun to see them learn about where our food comes from. We will continue the farm unit next week, too.

Next Week

  • Show and Tell: Bring a product from the farm—something grown or raised. Be able to tell us how it’s grown or something the animal gives us. It can be real or a toy, but not a picture.
  • Bible Verse: “Children obey your parents in the Lord, for this is right.” Ephesians 6:1
  • Bible: Isaac and Ishmael, and the offering of Isaac.
  • Reading: The two letters for next week will be Hh and Tt.  We have been working on the sight words "I," "see," "a," "on, and "and" to prepare to read through our first guided reader. Read to your child at night. It helps with concepts of print and comprehension. It’s also a good bonding time.
  • Math: We will finish number sense and ordinal numbers through number 10, and begin shape review/study. We will also review previously learned skills.

Looking Ahead

  • September 13th: Cookie dough orders due
  • September 14th: Donuts with Incredible Dudes and Signing Day
  • September 18th - 20th: Cheer Camp (Girls will cheer at the beginning of pep rally on that Friday, September 21st)
  • September 28th: Grandparents’ Day at 8:30am in the CCPH Worship Center - Early dismissal - No Extended Care.
  • October 4th: Cookie dough delivery
  • October 12th: Homecoming Parties at 2:30pm - More details to come!
