Academics

Bible - Birth of Jesus
Verse - Isaiah 9:6, “For to us a child is born, to us a son is given; and the government will be on his shoulders; and he will be called, Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.” (We will work on this verse for 2 weeks)
Spelling - Open syllables (go, no, he, she, jumbo, presto)
Heart Words: down, goes, new, open
Reading & Phonics - Read “Seasons”; practice reading words with open syllables; work on main idea
Grammar & Writing - Complete sentences, practice marking sentences; practice finding nouns, adjectives and verbs
Math - Subtraction facts; review measurements; one dozen; liquid measurements
Science/Social Studies - Christmas Around the World and experiments with candy canes

December 1 - Elementary Christmas Chapel (wear Christmas clothes)
December 16 - Christmas parties at 12:00; Early Dismissal at 1:00 (No extended care)
